Salt Lake City is moving ahead with the release of a voter-approved bond that will fund renovations for the old main library building—The Leonardo's new home. During that time, The Leonardo will be busy completing the final stage of our fundraising campaign, fabricating exhibits, and finalizing programming. From Sept. 19, 2008, until Jan. 11, 2009, The Leonardo hosted the most successful traveling exhibit of all time —Gunther von Hagens BODY WORLDS 3 & the Story of the Heart.
More than 290,000 visitors came to The Leonardo for the exhibition, including more than 26,000 field trip students, and visitors from every single state in the nation — as well as several foreign countries.
