3:00 to 7:00 pm	Registration for ALL students, Check In and Table Assignments, Display Setup
7:00 to 10:00 pm	Judge Registration and Preview (without students)

Friday March 27, 2009 - 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM
7:00 to 8:45 am	Judges Registration and Preview (without students)
8:45 am	Junior and Senior Division students arrive
10:00 am	Elementary Division students arrive
9:00 am to 12:45 pm	Project Judging and Evaluation for Junior/Senior Division (Students must remain with their projects during judging period)
10:00 am to 12:30 pm	Project Judging and Evaluation for Elementary Division
12:30 to 12:50 pm	Student lunch and activities Elementary Student Lunch 12:30 Junior Division Lunch 12:40 Senior Division Lunch 12:50
1:00 pm	All students excused
1:00 to 4:00 pm	Public Display of Projects and Discussions with Students (Students are encouraged, but not required, to stay with their projects during the public display.)
4:00 to 5:30 pm	Removal of Exhibits
7:00 pm	Awards Ceremony @ Rice Eccles Stadium- 4th floor

Eligibility: Who Should Enter SLVSEF?

The Salt Lake Valley Science & Engineering Fair is designed for elementary school students in currently enrolled in a public, private, parochial or charter school in the Granite, Murray, Salt Lake, Park City and Tooele School Districts. The divisions are:

• Elementary Division - Grades 5-6
• Junior Division - Grades 7-8
• Senior Division - Grades 9-12

Regional science fairs do not compete with one another. The important thing is for the student to find support, technical advisory expertise, and a fertile environment in which to compete with and learn from the community of science and engineering professionals, teachers and other students that make the experience of a science fair so rich.

Map & Directions to SLVSEF

In the Directions below for all approaches, free parking will be available in the large parking lot just west of the Rice-Eccles Stadium Tower, into which you will turn off 500 South. You will receive a free parking validation for SLVSEF participation in your registration kit, and will be directed upon entering the lot by signs or an attendant to a specific designated area. Please park only there.
